Earlier this year, Dave Matthews performed during a Grammy tribute concert to Paul Simon. Now, CBS has announced a television broadcast of the show.
The special, titled Homeward Bound: A Grammy Salute to the Songs of Paul Simon, will air December 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT and will also be available to stream on Paramount+.
Initially recorded in April at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, Homeward Bound featured artists of all genres putting their spin on Simon’s tunes from throughout the Simon & Garfunkel member and solo artist’s 50-year career. Alongside Matthews, the lineup included Stevie Wonder, Sting, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, Shaggy and Jimmy Cliff, The Bangles‘ Susanna Hoffs, Jonas Brothers and Irma Thomas.
Additionally, celebrities such as Elton John, Oprah Winfrey, Woody Harrelson and Herbie Hancock were among the presenters and special appearances.
